The Career Guidance Cell informs that Management
Aptitude Test (MAT) dates are announced as detailed below. MAT is a standardised test being
administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen
candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry
of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School - national
or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the
Score Cards issued to the candidates

Test
Centre City list is provided in the Bulletin. Test Venues for Paper-Based Test
and Computer Based Test are different
The Paper-Based Test will take place only on one day i.e., 01st May 2016 at one time slot i.e., 10.00 am - 12.30 pm, whereas the Computer Based Test will take place from 07th May 2016 in different time slots
If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and it can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed on 07th May 2016 itself
If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is few in a particular centre, these candidates have to appear for the Paper-Based Test on 01st May 2016

scanned / validated within 5 days and the Form Numbers of such received forms

Admit Card
All provisionally registered
candidates for both Paper Based and Computer Based Test can download their
Admit Card from AIMA website link (http://apps.aima.in/matadmitcard.aspx)
on or after 23rd April 2016 (Saturday)
Specific Admit Card is generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test. Admit Card contains Candidate’s Name, Form No, Roll No, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to him/her in the case of Computer Based Test

Examination
The type of questions is of multiple
choice. The candidates have to select the correct option. There are 5 sections
with 200 questions. The duration of MAT is 2 hours 30 minutes or 150 minutes
and there is no sectional time limit i.e. the candidates could move back and
forth between the sections. The 5 sections in the MAT 2016 Exam Pattern
are Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis
and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Indian and Global Environment. There are
40 questions in each section, and the scores of the Indian and Global
Environment are not added in the final section. The candidates could start the
exam with any section.
The total
marks of the exam are 200 and the scaled score is given out of 800. The MAT
Exam Pattern has remained consistent over the years.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is usually conducted four
times in a year in January,
May, September and December. The minimum qualification is
graduation in any discipline from any recognised university or equivalent
recognised degree. A final-year student can also appear provisionally. Usually,
there is a minimum percentage requirement in graduation which is different for
different MI’s/ universities.
