TANCET is a 120 minutes long test having 100 multiple choice
questions The test will be conducted in
offline – pen and paper mode.

2019 Eligibility Criteria
Anna University has ruled out
certain eligibility conditions for candidates registering for TANCET 2019.
These must be fulfilled by the candidate in order to sit for the exam.
Academic Criteria
- Candidates who have completed or are in their final year of Graduation can apply.
- Masters in any discipline of science is also accepted.
- Candidates who have passed 10+2 or possess a 10+3 years diploma certificate from the State Board of Technical Education are eligible.
- Candidates with a valid GATE Score with qualifying marks in relevant discipline of Engineering /Technology, need not appear for TANCET.
- Candidates who have a valid GATE score with qualifying marks in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL), have to appear for TANCET 2019.

TANCET 2019 Exam Pattern
Date
of TANCET Exam- June 22 – 23, 2019
While
the paper pattern for all courses is similar, the syllabus for MBA, ME,
MCA is different. A brief about the same is listed below:
- TANCET 2019 will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based).
- It consists of 100 MCQ questions.
- The medium of the paper is English.
- The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
- Question paper for programs like M.Tech/ME/M.Arch and M.Plan are segregated into 3 sections.
- Against every correct answer, +1 mark is allotted and for every incorrect answer, -1/3 mark is subtracted. No marks are allotted for un-attempted questions. Aspirants can score a maximum of 100 marks. TANCET Syllabus 2019

The
question paper for the courses M.E., M.Tech., M.Arch. and M.Plan. has a similar
structure. The question paper comprises of 3 parts, the details of which are given
below: -
- Part I of the question paper has 20 questions, based on the subject Engineering Mathematics. This part of the paper is same for all 4 courses.
- Part II of the paper consists of 35 questions, based on subject Basic Engineering and Sciences. Similar to Part I, this part is also same across question papers of all 4 courses.
- The final part or Part III of the question paper has 60 questions. The questions in this part will be based on the subject chosen by the candidate. There are 23 subjects available for this section, from which a candidate can choose anyone.
- All the questions are multiple choice questions carrying 1 mark each, with negative marking of 1/3 marks for an incorrect answer. The time given is 2 hours.

mentioned earlier, the syllabus of this subject depends on the subject that a

TANCET Exam Pattern 2019
- It is necessary for candidates to know the exam pattern of TANCET 2019 to prepare in a better and organised way for the entrance exam. As per the TANCET 2019 exam pattern, the entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode for a time period of 2 hours.
- TANCET 2019 will be divided into 3 sections out of which Part I and II will be mandatory for all candidates. While Part 3 of TANCET 2019 will be according to the choices filled by candidates when applying for the exam.
- There will be total of 115 questions divided into 3 parts.
- In part 2, all correct answers upto maximum number of 20 will be given credit whereas all incorrect answers will be taken into consideration.
- TANCET 2019 will be of 100 marks in total.
