The CAT registration process 2021 started on August
4, 2021. As per the official notification, CAT will be conducted on November
28, 2021 (Sunday). Despite the Covid-19 pandemic disruptions, no
postponement in CAT 2021 Notification has been seen and the CAT notification is
released as per previous trends. Last year too. the CAT notification was
released on the last Saturday of July and the exam was scheduled and conducted
on time.
Common
Admission Test (CAT) will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Management
(IIM) Ahmedabad in a computer-based mode across 158 test cities in India. CAT
exam is held for admission in elite B-schools across India. This CAT score is
accepted not only by IIMs but also by 100+ B-schools across the country. Nearly
4,000 seats will be filled by IIM.

After a gap of five years, IIM
Ahmedabad will conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT 2021) on November 28,
2021. For CAT 2021, Prof. M.P. Ram Mohan (faculty of IIM Ahmedabad) has been
appointed as CAT convener this year. The CAT score is not only accepted by
IIMs, but also more than 100 B-schools accept the same. Around 5100 MBA
students got admitted into IIMs every year through CAT.

CAT Eligibility Criteria 2021
The CAT announcement, in short,
specifies the CAT eligibility criteria, which candidates must check before
filling out the application form. The CAT 2021 official notification also
states that fulfilling the qualifications for the exam will not guarantee them
a place in the Indian Institute of Management.
The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s
Degree, with at least 50 percent of marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ ST/
PwD).
Candidates who are in the final year
of the Bachelor's Degree / Equivalent Qualification Examination and are
awaiting the results after completing the degree requirements can apply.
*SC/ ST/ PwD candidates should have a
minimum 45%. For General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates, the minimum is 50%.

category as no change will be allowed once the CAT registration process is

NOTE: SC, ST, and PwD candidates are

The CAT 2021 registration window
opens on August 4, 2021 and will close at 5:00 p.m. on September 15, 2021. The
details will be available in the CAT registration guide. When registering,
candidates must select six test cities of their choice from a drop-down menu.
The candidates can download the CAT admit card from the last week of October
2021 until November 28, 2021.
CAT Exam Centres 2021
CAT 2021 exam centers also include
cities where entrance exams will be held. When completing the CAT application
form, candidates should select the test center for preference. There will be
six cities where candidates had to choose when registering.
The CAT 2021 will be conducted at
centers spread across approximately 158 test cities. The test cities are
mentioned on the CAT website and the test center name will be mentioned on the

NOTE: IIM reserves the right to
change or cancel any test center/ city and/ or change the test time and date of
their choice.
CAT 2021 Score
The candidate’s CAT 2021 score will
be accessed on the CAT website. Candidates can be notified individually via
SMS. CAT results will be announced in the first week of January 2022. The CAT
score 2021 is only valid until December 31, 2022, and will be accessible on the
website accordingly. After that, any questions regarding the issuance of CAT
2021 scorecards will not be entertained.
CAT Admission Process
Remember that each IIM is independent
to compel their own qualifications (including academic cutoffs and relative
weights) and follow different selection procedures. Performance in the CAT exam
2021 is an important component to consider in the selection process.
IIMs may also use candidates'
previous academic performance, relevant work experience, and other similar
entries in the shortlist of candidates at various stages of the CAT 2021
