The Career Guidance Cell informs that Anna University, Chennai is main conducting authority that organizes Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2017). TANCET is a state level entrance exam. It is conducted for candidates those seeking for admission into MBA, MCA, and ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan Degree Programmes. These courses are offered by the various colleges in the limits of Tamil Nadu State. Here, we are updating the official date schedule of TANCET 2017:

TANCET 2017 Application Form

Candidates can fill the form only through online process only. The TANCET 2017 Application Form has been released through the website. The application form is available from 29th January 2017. Candidates can fill the form till 20th February 2017. There is no need to send application form through offline mode. Candidates take the printout of the confirmation page and keep them for future reference.

Application Fee:

Candidates have to submit Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/SCA/ST candidates) as an application fee for any one of the programme. If candidates want to apply more than one programme they have to pay Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/SCA/ST candidates) for each additional programme through online mode only.

TANCET Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to appear for TANCET 2017 are given below:

MBA	Pass Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years). Secured at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).
MCA	Pass Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) with mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduate level. Obtained at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).
MCA (lateral Entry)	Pass Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) in BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT) with mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduate level. Secure at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).
ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan	Pass Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Obtained at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category). GATE Valid Score Card

TANCET Exam Pattern 2017

The duration of the entrance exam will be 2 hours. For each correct answer 1 mark will be given to the candidates. For incorrect response, 1/3 mark will be deducted. The entrance exam of MBA & MCA will be conducted on the same date but in different time. The entrance exam of ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan will be held on separate dates.
