The Career Guidance Cell informs that State Bank of India
(SBI) has published notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officer
(PO) vacancies. Eligible candidates may apply online from 04-05-2016 to
24-05-2016. Other details like age limit, qualification, selection process,

Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be
between 21 – 30 years as on 01-04-2016 (i.e. candidates must have been born not
earlier than 02-04-1986 and not later than 01-04-1995 both days inclusive).
Relaxation of age will be applicable up to 05 years for SC/ ST, 03 years for
OBC, 15 years for PWD (SC/ ST), 13 years for PWD (OBC) & 10 years for PWD
(Gen) candidates and other relaxation details refer the notification.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent
qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based
on online written test (Preliminary & Main Examination), Group Discussion
& interview.
Application Fee: Candidates should pay Rs. 600/-
for General, OBC candidates abnd Rs. 100/- (Intimation Charges only) for SC/
ST/ PWD candidates (Non Refundable) through online mode by using Debit Card/
Credit Card/ Internet Banking.

SBI PO Eligibility: State Bank of India
Probationary Officer (PO) Eligibility Details.
Nationality: Candidate should be a Citizen of
India.
Age: Candidates age should not be below 21
years and not above 30 years i.e candidates must have been born not earlier
than 02-04-1986 and not later than 01-04-1995 (both days inclusive).
Relaxation
in the Upper Age Limit to Reserved category candidates:
Upper age is relaxable by
(i) 3 years in the case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
(ii) 5 years in the case of: (a) SC/ ST candidates. (b) Ex-servicemen (including Emergency Commissioned Officers/ Short Service Commissioned Officers) who have rendered at least five years continuous Military Service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or/ on account of physical disability or have been released/ discharged on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or on invalidment (c) Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu and Kashmir between 1st January, 1980 and 31st December, 1989.

A. Phase I: Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows…

Phase- II:Written
Examination (250 marks) consisting of Objective Tests and Descriptive Test.
(i).
Objective Tests (200 marks): The Objective Tests with 2 hour duration will
consists of 4 Sections with 50 marks each as follows:
(a)
Test of English Language (Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc)
(b)
Test of General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
(c)
Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation
(d)
Test of Reasoning (High Level)
The
candidates are required to qualify in the Objective Tests by securing passing
marks, in each of the tests, to be decided by the Bank on the basis of the
performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a
minimum required level for each category.
(ii).
Descriptive Test (50 marks): The Descriptive Test with 1 hour duration will be
of “Test of English Language (letter writing & essay)”.
