Career Guidance Cell informs that AFCAT 2018-19,
Indian Air Force has recently invited Online Applications for Air Force Common
Admission Online Test (AFCAT) – 02/2018/ NCC Special Entry/ Meteorology Entry
as Commissioned Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical &
Non-Technical) Branches. The courses commencing in Jul 2019 for grant of Short
Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) / Short
Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches.
Candidates who’s age is not more than as specified in AFCAT 2018 jobs
notification and having qualification of Graduation, BE/ B.Tech/ PG Degree in
any Science stream/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Geography/ Computer Applications/
Environmental Science/ Applied Physics/ Oceanography/ Agricultural Meteorology/
Ecology & Environment/ Geo-physics/ Environmental Biology from the
University/ Institute recognized by the Government of India are eligible to
apply for the post.
Candidates are advised
to go through the official notification carefully before filling the AFCAT
online Application Form. Eligible candidates (both Male & Female) may apply
for online Air Force Common Admission Test.

Qualification:
Maths&
Physics at 10+2 level, Graduation in any discipline from a recognized
University or BE/ B.Tech from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks or
equivalent, Cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers
(India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a
minimum of 60% marks or equivalent (Final year students are also eligible to
apply) for Flying branches, PG Degree in any science stream/ Mathematics/
Statistics/ Geography/ Computer Applications/ Environmental Science/ Applied
Physics/ Oceanography/ Agricultural Meteorology/ Ecology & Environment/
Geo-physics/ Environmental Biology with minimum 50% marks in aggregate
(provided Maths& Physics were studied at Graduation level with minimum of
55% marks in both) for Ground Duty (Meteorology branch).Follow

Age Limit:As
on 01/017/2019
1. Flying Branch – 20 to 24
years (i.e Born between 02/07/1995 to 01/07/1999 both dates inclusive)
2. Ground Duty Officer
(Technical/ Non Technical Branch) – 20 to 26 years (i.e Born between 02/07/1993
to 01/07/1999 both dates inclusive)
Selection Procedure:
Candidates have to
appear for Physical Standards/ Medical Standards/ Written Test and/or
Interview.

Meteorology Entry &
NCC Special Entry – No Fee
